![]() Engr. Ramos is a Filipino registered Civil Engineer (#57085) and Environmental Planner (#5208) a full-time faculty member of the Romblon State University (RSU) in the Province of Romblon, MIMAROPA Region, The Philippines. With his present position as Associate Professor, Engr Ramos is the Research Coordinator/CPD Coordinator of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) of the university. Currently, Engr. Ramos is currently designated as the Director for the International Linkages and External Affairs Office (ILAO), former Director of Planning and Development (2016-2020), was the Head of the Intellectual Property Unit (2016-2020), and the former Vice-Chair for Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), 2016-17 of the university, and ISO QMS Coordinator (2019-2020). He was one of the members of the Technical Working Committee in the development of the proposed 82 hectares of RSU in AGPUDLOS, San Andres, Tablas Island. This future development expands the offering of programs related to fisheries, forestry, agriculture and environmental science. RSU is a state higher education institution in the Philippines with 8 satellite campuses located in the major islands of Romblon - central part of the country. Engr. Ramos has been involved in various consultancy projects related to environmental impact assessment, land use planning, ISO 19000 and 14000 certification and audits, training programs preparation, waste management, air quality monitoring, water and wastewater systems, and environmental management system (EMS). Engr. Ramos is also an Accredited Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/IEE) Preparer recognized by DENR-EMB Central Office – Manila. He is also a newly recognized accreditor for the Philippine Association of State Colleges and Universities (PASUC). Engr. Ramos has completed his PhD in Built Environment at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK; with Master's of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering at the University of Queensland, Australia; and MSc degree in Urban Planning and Human Settlements from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Engr. Ramos' research areas of interest are: river system management, town planning/land use planning, green building, GIS application, alternative construction materials, mixed-use development, waste/water treatment systems, database management, and quality assurance.
