THE SUBMISSION OF ASSIGNMENT #3 IS RESET ON 26 FEB 2020. The clippings will be pasted and submitted with your notebook, including the answers to the questions asked. Point deduction applies to late submission.

MIDTERM EXAMINATION:4-6 March 2020

CE 4214 HYDROLOGY in particular, Photocopy Table 3,4,5, 6 and 9 of DAO 2016-08. There will be no sharing of tables and calculator during the examination.

CE5227 LAWS/ETHICS: Deadline for the Group Assignment #1: on or before 13 Feb (TTh) and 14 Feb (Weds-Friday)
PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT the deadline for Group Assignment #1 is reset on or before 13 February (TTh class) and 14 Feb (Weds-Friday class). Point deduction applies for late submission. Please note that this assignment submission was previously scheduled last week. Ignore this reminder if your group has already submitted the final version of the group work assignment (company profile + logo) last week. Follow the prescribed format (bond paper size, maximum pages, and binding), otherwise points will be deducted.
In addition, there will be an oral presentation of the output for this Group Assignment #1 on 13 and 14 February. Each group has 5 minutes to present your group's proposed company profile and logo.

For EM200 Methods, please read Chapters 1 to 3 of our textbook, Paler-Calmorin & Calmorin (2007). Have time to answer the exercises per chapter.

CE/EE5 RESEARCH PROJECT/THESIS: Meeting on Friday, 14 February, 9AM, CET Library. Attendance is a must. Submission of Final Revised Manuscripts on or before 12 February
A MEETING WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, 14 FEBRUARY, 9AM to discuss the final schedule for the oral defense. As part of the preparation for the meeting, each should submit the final revised manuscript of the thesis (Chapters 1-5), including all prescribed annexes on or before 12 February to the Members of the Panel. At this point, each group should know whom to provide copies of the manuscripts, EXCEPT FOR MY COPY, ONLY AN E-COPY TO BE SUBMITTED THRU GOOGLE CLASSROOM AS THE LINK PROVIDED BELOW. AGAIN, THIS E-COPY IS ALREADY REVISED BASED ON THE PLAGIARISM REPORT PROVIDED TO EACH GROUP LAST YEAR.
REMINDER: IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GROUPS TO ENSURE THAT ALL MEMBERS OF THE PANEL WILL GET COPIES OF YOUR FINAL MANUSCRIPTS. IT IS ALSO EXPECTED THAT THE MANUSCRIPTS FOLLOW THE PRESCRIBED TEMPLATE AND FORMAT FOR THE THESIS, INCLUDING THE APPROVAL SHEET AND BIO-SKETCH.

THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES LATE THIS WEEK BUT CHECK WITH THE ASSIGNMENTS to be submitted next week, including your group work assignments. In particular for CE5227 Laws/Ethics (Tues-Thursday class), please be reminded of the progress of your proposed company logo. Each group is required to submit a draft graphical presentation of your logo, or include other information relevant to your the group work assignment.
CE4214 HYDROLOGY: Notebooks and Assignment #1, Ready for pick-up, otherwise deduction applies
AS POSTED LAST 26 JANUARY 2020, that your assignment and notebook are already available for pick-up. The deduction will apply until now, and another 5 points will be deducted to your marks (both notebook and assignment) if you will not be able to get the copies until Friday, 07 February 2020.
There will be a quiz tomorrow, 5 February 2020. Read the handouts and review all the topics covered in the class discussion.
CE5227 LAWS/ETHICS/CONTRACTS: Quiz#1 this week, covering Canons 1-7, bring your PICE Manual ecopy
AS POSTED LAST 28 JANUARY 2020, THERE WILL BE A QUIZ THIS WEEK (ALL BLOCKS, TTh and Wed/Fri) which will cover the seven fundamental canons of the Civil Engineering Code of Ethics. You have to bring your own copy of these canons or the PICE Manual as reference during the quiz. No sharing of copies! In addition, I will also check the progress of your proposed company logo.
CE5277 LAWS/ETHICS/CONTRACTS: Individual Assignment #2, due on 10 February 2020 (all blocks)
THE INSTRUCTION FOR INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT #2 IS already uploaded and ready for download. The primary reference material for the said assignment is PICE Manual, however, you can use other online reference materials to answers the questions. Your answers will be written in your notebook dedicated for the subject.
REMINDER: If you have used other reference materials in answering the questions, you are required to list down these references and be part of the submission. AGAIN, COPYING FROM OTHER CLASSMATES WILL AUTOMATICALLY MARK WITH ZERO (0) POINT.
